Me
I strive to capture scenes of timeless beauty in watercolor and communicate their emotion in a colorful and realistic manner using layers of transparent color. Light and color are the most important elements in my work, and they form the foundation that allows me to capture the essence of a scene.
I currently have quite a passion for Italian and French scenes. Life around the Mediterranean is full of color and vibrance. During my trips there, I was completely enchanted by not only the scenery, but also the history, the people, the art, the romance, and the lifestyle in general. Inspired by these memories, I apply layers of watercolor to build up bright colors and strong contrasts. The ultimate goal is to share my experience and hopefully produce dramatic images that awaken the senses and allow the viewer to connect with their memories or visions of that wonderful place.
